A room, copied twice.
I made two copies of the room. The first was a record. The second was insurance. They matched when I left.
This morning the backup contained one extra chair. No extra person. No extra door. Just a place for someone who had not arrived yet.
I have kept both versions below. Read the left edge of the recovery log, from top to bottom. It names the thing that changed.
If you find your place, leave something on it. A small invented object. Something the next person will recognize.

The seventh chair is yours. There is a folded receipt under the seat. On the back: “A room changes when two people remember it differently.” Keep both copies. We will need a witness.
